How to Import PDFs
Import PDF files into Bookil from your Mac, PC, or other iOS apps.
To read a PDF in Bookil, you first need to transfer the file to the app. There are two common ways to do this.
Copy files from your Mac or PC
This method connects your iOS device to a computer and copies PDFs over.
- Open a Finder window (macOS) or iTunes (Windows).
- Connect your iPhone or iPad to your computer with a USB cable.
- Select your device in Finder or iTunes.
- Open the Files tab to see the list of apps that support file sharing.
- Select the PDFs you want to copy.
- Drag them onto Bookil. Finder copies the files to your device.
See Apple’s official guide for the detailed steps.
Share from another app
You can also import PDFs by sharing from any other app — Files, cloud storage apps, browsers, and so on.
- Open the app that has the PDF (Files, a cloud storage app, a browser, etc.).
- Select the PDF you want to share.
- Tap the Share button and choose Bookil from the Share sheet.
- Bookil opens and imports the PDF automatically.
This is the quickest path for PDFs you encounter while browsing or working in other apps.
